HERE I AM

Writer. Editor. Wannabe guitarist.

Loumari E. Camacho Renta is an editor and filmmaker from Bayamón, Puerto Rico. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Digital Film Production from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico she was part of the editing team for the short docuseries Ismael Cala en Puerto Rico (2016), which earned a 2017 Suncoast Emmy for Best Editing. Her credits include a plethora of short films for the Puerto Rican production company LibreExpresión, where she honed her skills as an editor and storyteller under filmmaker/company founder Omar Camilo. These short films include Bolero (2017), El albergue (2015) and La dieta (2015) from the short anthology web series Mundo Breve (2015) for Puerto Rico’s public access television network WIPR.


Independently she wrote, directed and edited the short films Belladonna (2008) El suéter rojo (2012) and Puerto Rican Obituary (2018). Most recently she earned her Master of Fine Arts in Film Production from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. When she’s not working on new material, she spends her time reading, playing video games and watching television with her cat, Sunday.
